Under Armour and Steph Curry continue to build on their strong partnership with the launch of the fifth signature shoe, the Curry 5. It first released on Steph Curry’s 30th birthday on March 14th, and it was rightfully named the ‘Pi Day’ Curry 5. The second colourway of the shoes, the ‘Welcome Home’ Curry 5, will be releasing on May 18th, in honour of the Golden State Warriors’ Western Conference Finals series against the Houston Rockets.

The ‘Welcome Home’ Curry 5 features a low-cut white knit upper, bootie construction, a unique speed lacing system, a multicolour overlay that runs from toe to heel on the lateral side, and the Steph Curry ‘SC’ logo done in orange. The upper sits on a translucent outsole accompanied by a splash of bright red.

Under Armour took a unique approach with the initial release of the ‘Welcome Home’ Curry 5 as it partnered with Foot Locker to make the shoes available on Under Armour’s new Steph IQ app, which asked users eight different basketball themed questions in a similar format as the popular HQ Trivia app. Those who were able to answer all eight questions correctly received early access to the shoes prior to the official release date.

The Under Armour ‘Welcome Home’ Curry 5 will release on Friday, May 18th, 2018 on UnderArmour.ca and select retailers such as Foot Locker Canada.
