Air Max Day Supper @ Junior Filipino

It was a Thursday.
The vibes, the vibes, the food vibes. Why am I talking about my hunger pangs on a sneaker blog? I think it’s safe to say that we all live in a state of excess. The sneaker addict knows more about want than true need. We dabble in the celebration of what’s new and what’s next. Our persona is all about loving life and whoever loves life has got to looove food.
We all met at JUNIOR FILIPINO, a homestyle Filipino cuisine restaurant, just minutes from the heart of downtown Montreal. The choice of establishment was predicated on the fact that we heard it was good, hearty eats at JUNIOR and that one of the owners is one of the city’s more known and respected sneakerheads, Toddy Flores.

8:30pm reservation and everyone showed up on time! TheBragAffair had brought together nine Air Max enthusiasts to fill the seats at the table for our first #AIRMAXDAY Supper. After drinks were ordered, Toddy, our gracious host, decided he would order for the table and assured us we’d have plenty to eat and plenty to entertain the different palettes in our group. Let me just say this, I was full after the appetizers, which I thought were the main course, but I kept eating because the food was on point. Very warm, very flavorful and punchy at just the right moments. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’m not a food critic, all I know is that the food made me happy. Everyone else at the table seemed extremely content as well.

A nice relaxed mood set in as the great music was bumping and we all planned about how getting together every now and then would be a good idea. Stories of how each were able to hunt down and find the current Air Maxes on feet. Talks about whether the pairs we were wearing were up for grabs or would forever hold a spot in our closets. We mentioned the Patch Pack coming to Montreal that weekend, we commented about the Air Max 0 and how it could or wouldn’t be important in the grand scheme of all things Air Max. We ended the night chatting a bit more outside the restaurant and eventually geeked out and set up a dope power circle.
Good eats, good people, good conversation, Max-ed out sneakers.
Let us know what other meet-ups TheBragAffair could facilitate, and take a browse through some Air Max Day Supper photos taken by the homeslice, CidTheKicks:
