Long time fans of the brand will tell you, an Undefeated collaboration piece with Converse is an exercise in rich, legitimate spirit and desire. This time around the iconic One Star sneaker from Converse is the canvas to which the two legendary brands have fused their ideologies of sports and military influence to create the Converse x Undefeated One Star collection.
Being a supporter of the five strike logo-ed brand myself, I admit to hoping for a better me when rocking Undefeated, a brand that speaks so much to accomplishing more (see tongue logo!). Mix it with the most genuine of footwear in Converse and my vibe turns to the hearty rhythm of the asphalt and metal of the street and skate heritage.

Steeped in a suede upper against a leather lining, the first impression you get from the shoe is the quality of the partnership was purposeful. The Converse x Undefeated One Star sports a grosgrain heel stay with a raised rubber printed Undefeated logo. Such detailing to all parts of the creation just brings a smile to branding freaks. Let’s not forget to mention the continuous red and blue pinstriping that runs along the rubber outsole, one of my favorite parts of this offering for its ability to add so much more dimension with such a simple add to the aesthetics. The Star Chevron, high foxing and vintage license plate allow this One Star honest design to stay honest with the history behind the original palette. On the underside, the choice of an all red outsole reminds us that the luxurious texture of the upper is part of a bold statement from the two inspiring brands.
