To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Air Max, the city of Toronto has been blessed with a two-storied bus dedicated to the Air Max that will be touring the city throughout the month of March. The bus is wrapped to resemble an original Nike box that the Air Max came in, and the front of the bus beautifully sums up its intention: “30 Years of Air”. This month has been rightfully deemed Air Max Month, and the Air Max Bus is one of the numerous celebrations leading up to the annually celebrated Air Max Day.

The Air Max was originally introduced on March 26, 1987, and throughout its 30 year history, there have been countless amazing silhouettes and colourways that have released and the Air Max Bus will be a history lesson for everyone from Air Max enthusiasts to those who are interested in learning its deep and rich history. Not only will you be able to learn more about the genealogy of Nike’s Air innovation, you will also be able to see 30 of the rarest and most sought after Air Max designs of all-time.

Each visitor of the Air Max Bus will receive a special token to use on the Air Max Machine, a giant gum-ball style dispenser, to “take a piece of Air” home. The Air Max Machine will dispense a wide variety of pins, but if you are one of the lucky few who get a number dispensed instead, you will have the opportunity to purchase the Air Max grail that corresponds with that number at its original price, $87. In addition to the opportunity to purchase the grail, you will also receive a ticket to Nike’s special Air Max Day event on March 25th!

For those of you who strike out the first time, there is a way of receiving another token! If you purchase an Air Max shoe in-store where the bus is stopped, you will receive an additional token as well as an Air Max toque!

The bus will not just be making stops at stores throughout Toronto, it will also be at the Ultimate Sneaker Show: Sole Exchange Canada #TheMarchBreakLaceUp at the Grand Victorian Convention in Mississauga on March 18th! If you haven’t gotten your tickets for the show, be sure to do so as this will be one of the sneaker events of the year!
